I had two breakfasts at Chok Kee Porridge Cafe. I just wanted to eat their bestseller Chee Cheong Chok! One of the best Cantonese-Style Porridge in Penang

A humble setup tucked in Kimberley Street, Chok Kee has quite a bit of history, hence explain the simple, rundown shophouse. They have quite a bit of offering for porridge.

Are you confused by my post title? Chok Kee Porridge was originally located at Cintra Street, they are formerly known as Cintra Street Chee Cheong Chok by selling Pork Intestine Porridge only.

If you are looking for great filling bowl of Cantonese porridge meal, go to Kafe Chok Kee in Lebuh Kimberly. There are basically three types of porridge (or Cantonese-style Chok), to choose from and you can top with some vegetables or pork.

Return more than 50 times to eat here It’s more like comfort food to be Chee chap chok(猪杂粥) Generous ingredients, the Charcoal dried deep fried intestine, char siok(叉烧) and other organs are fresh to me.

This restaurant specialises in porridge. They sell pork intestine porridge, peanut porridge and century egg porridge. In my opinion, the texture of the porridge is just right.

I will repeat this again and again and again! Fried pork intestine porridge is rare to find now and I'm so glad to find this gem. Porridge was very tasty and consistency was just right - not too thick nor too watery, and it stayed the same…

Chok Kee Porridge Cafe used to be along Kimberley Street. And it’s one of my favourite porridge shops here. Heard from the locals it has moved out due to raising rental. It’s now along Lebuh Cintra. More spacious shop.

I don’t usually go for this dish, but for porridge lovers, this is easily one of the best you can get. Personally, I’m not big on organ meats, but the crispy intestines were surprisingly acceptable to me.

I stumbled upon this congee shop by chance, and the food was surprisingly delicious. While dining, I noticed many elderly locals were getting takeout, which made it feel like a time-tested, authentic flavor.

Great! I tried their pork intestine congee and preserved egg congee, both were delicious. The second time I went, I asked the staff if I could add pig's blood, and they added it for free...they were so kind.

This stall is so full during breakfast time, but service is fast enough. The preparation table is clean, neat and orderly. Bit watery porridge, plain, topped with fried shallots, green onions and crunchy fried pork intestines.

Very cantonese style of porridge; not too watery, not too thick, just the right amount of gooey-nest. They Fried their intestine to 'medium rare', which is the only way I would eat it.

Now, this is a traditional family stall with tasty porridge. Hence, don't expect restaurant service. The porridge has been passed on for generations and is one of the best in Penang.

maybe i came at 1230. Left with only intestine porridge. The deep fried intestine was not crispy , and some were burnt. Porridge nothing to shout about. As per some reviews, the peanut porridge and century egg porridge was good.
