Ms Ann Martin runs the laksa stall at Kim Seng Kopitiam. She has kept faithful to the flavours perpetuated by Mrs Ewe Chooi Guan, maintaining both the quality and taste.

When it comes to Penang food, laksa is always one of the first dishes to be mentioned (especially by girls, I don’t know why), and when it comes to laksa for many Penangites, the best laksa on the island is this little stall located all…

The current location for this coffee shop is at a strip mall at Botanica City. They sell other street food like char koay teow but this coffee shop is more famous for its laksa.

The Siamese laksa lemak here is a pleasant surprise, rich, coconut-based, and gently spiced, it’s a dish rarely found in Penang these days. Its rarity alone makes it a draw, and while it may not rival the kanom jeen nam ya of Thailand, it…

One of the best asam laksa and char koay teow I’ve ever tasted. The laksa had that perfect balance of tangy, spicy and aromatic, while the char koay teow was smoky, flavour-packed and cooked just right.

It's a coffee shop selling laksa & CKT. The lemak laksa is quite flavourful, but i would prefer if the soup can be more rich. The CKT tastes horrible, no wok hei & barely any tastes.

They have good laksa, the noodles was thick and smooth. While both asam and lemak flavors hits the spot. The coffee they serve is also very flavory. One of my favorite and not packed with tourist. Definitely a local joint!

Asam laksa is ok, a bit salty but sourish enough. Gravy a bit diluted. Should have ordered the nutmeg but instead I ordered kopi (average). The fried Koay tiau is good

Laksa is very delicious, either sour, lemak or mixed. They moved from the Balik Pulau town to this new shop. Recommended by the locals.

The original 'famous' laksa in Balik Pulau. Choose from two different laksas, or have them mixed. Good range of drinks and friendly service.

I tried the fried kway teow for lunch, and it was alright. The kopi was okay too, though not exactly delicious. The prices were typical for a coffee shop. The cleanliness was decent.

The laksa was delicious, but the portion was small. It would be even better if the portion were larger. The owner was very friendly. 😍
