That evening, we dined at Hai Boey, located in Gertak Sanggul. “Hai Boey” means “End of the Sea” in Hokkien, where customers can enjoy the sunset and sea breeze while tucking into their food.

Had dinner with Dr and Mrs Alex Lim at Hai Boey Seafood Restaurant which is located in Teluk Kumbar. Our good friend who have patronised this place a few times (and found the food tasty) was kind to offer to drive us there.

Most Penangites would not be unfamiliar with Hai Boey seafood restaurant, which the names implies the meaning end of the sea. True indeed, the restaurant is located at Teluk Kumbar, which used to be end of the road in Penang.
