Hence what should you do if you are craving for a plate of decent CKT at night? Fret not, head to Jalan Perak and look for this standalone modest stall, remarkable by the fire sparks around the wok during the frying process.

Char Koay Teow is highly recommended in Penang. The wok hei is strong, the noodles and kuetiaw are fried with a distinctive smoky flavor and are very delicious. The fresh shrimp, clams and eggs blend well, not too oily.

Review based on the food alone. Since it's a roadside stall nothing much to comment about. Old couple running the stall. The char koay teow is amongst one of the less tasty and elss wok hei I've tried.

Uncle’s Charcoal CKT is a great option if you’re in the area. He still prepares the noodles using traditional charcoal, which gives it that authentic, smoky flavor.

This Char Koay Teow stall is located at the corner of an intersection, making this place easy to spot but difficult to stop/park to order. The noodles are delicious and are cooked with charcoal flame.

Arrived Monday 5:30pm, order duck egg char koay teow, the taste a bit clean, perhaps this is my 1st time tried out, just the feeling is good to have roadside and standing or sitting to have meal. 😂

One of the best in Penang! no shop no tables, just an old uncle frying CKT over charcoal along the roadside! To dine in, just sit on the stools, hold your plate and feast!
