Family run business. Super friendly and wholesome vibes. Classic chinese zichar place with live seafood (crabs, lobster, prawns, shells..). The crab and fish were super fresh. Veg very flavourful, not too salty. No pork served.

Tucked away on the far north-west of Penang Island, Tai Tong Seafood Restaurant isn’t exactly the most convenient spot but that’s part of the charm. The drive there is honestly one of the highlights, especially if you take it slow.

We asked the receptionist from where we were staying about good food places nearby and they recommended this place. AND THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON. It’s so savory, so delicious. I can’t believe how good their food is.

1.5 kms from the Angsana hotel is this quaint and comfortable outdoor restaurant recommended to us by concierge at our hotel. We had the grouper done Hong Kong style, king prawns in salted egg yolk, Kai lan and fried rice.

Since I was alone, I couldn't have chili crab, but I had stir-fried mixed vegetables, fried rice, and tom yum soup. The fried rice was fragrant and delicious! I'll come back to eat seafood next time!

Restaurant is hidden inside end of the road. Restaurant is clean and business is good. Food is delicious and price is reasonable. The boss very friendly too. Will come back again.

The lobster in broth was excellent, the oatmeal prawns were also good, the other dishes were of average quality, the worst being the grouper, which was dead.
