The wantan noodle rendition here has quite a springy texture, much sought after by its Penang clientele. The dark soy sauce-based dressing is

Kow Low is renowned for its authentic Hong Kong-style wan tan mee . It serves thin, springy egg noodles that absorb the umami-rich soy-based sauce in the dry version. Alternatively, the soup version comes with a flavorful broth.

This is one of the best Wan Tan Mee in Penang. My goto daily morning breakfast – Kow Low Wantan Mee. Located on Lebuh Carnavon, justna few steps away from Lebuh Melayu past Hooi Ping Cafe.

Instead of the usual soy sauce and dark soy sauce, they use the braised sauce thus there’re small pieces of mushrooms. The noodle has just the right texture, doesn’t have the strong alkaline taste. The char siew is nice and tender.

Good Food, But Service Could Be Improved We had lunch at Kow Low Wantan Mee earlier today. The food was delicious and definitely lived up to its reputation. The wantan mee was flavorful and well-prepared — we really enjoyed the meal.

Accidentally bumped into this shop where we saw many diners inside, so give it a try. Well, the wantan mee was delicious as I think it is much better than many others.

I came here specifically on the sixth day of the Lunar New Year to eat this wonton noodle shop. The noodles were delicious with a unique texture. The wontons were generously filled.

Best wantan mee I’ve ever eaten! Trust me guys. The noodles are so tasty and the fried wantan is super crispy and delicious. The owner uncle also very friendly. Very authentic taste, must try! Only the parking is very hard to find.

The wantan mee was good, though a bit less salty for my taste. The soup was great, and the wantan was packed with shrimp and really flavorful. We also ordered fried wantan — also good.

In my opinion, the Wan Tan Mee taste is below average. Noodle texture is not springy enough and sauce is not aroma enough. Note: Non-halal food serving

Can't say I'm a fan of this style of wantan mee, sauce was a bit starchy for my liking. Both boiled and fried wantans were pretty good.

The wan tan mee is nicely springy, and the wan tan itself is juicy and tasty. The boss is friendly and welcoming. Overall, it’s a good spot worth trying.

Service was fast and place had the old kopitiam atmosphere. The chicken feet and dumplings were good. The wantan mee was average as not much ingredients.
