Still, IMO, one of the very best duck-meat koay teow th'ng in Penang. Only the one at Cecil Street Market comes close in terms of flavors

Tucked within the old building at Lebuh Melayu, just next to Ping Hooi Cafe where you find Tiger Char Koay Teow. Al dante Koay Teow Th'ng is sold in the morning while Duck Porridge in the noon. Best time to try both would be between 11.

I believe Koay Teow Th'ng is another top favorite for most Penangites, tucked within the old building along Lebuh Melayu, 113 Duck Meat Koay Teow Th'ng is well-known to the locals for serving quality Koay Teow Th'ng for many years.

The duck meat, fish ball, fish cake, and even the duck liver were nicely blended with the soup and the noodles. In fact, they have duck intestine, porridge ( 鴨粥 ) and also Koay Chiap ( 粿汁 ) of which I have not try out personal, and I bet…

I haven't been back for over twenty years... and I was busy during the New Year period... but today I finally... finally... Simply put... the taste is still as delicious as ever... the broth is sweet and flavorful...

Lovely place to have a simple bowl of duck rice noodle soup. The shop is located in an alley that is near to a few attractions. The owner and his mum takes the cooking very seriously and can be seen in the quality of the food.

I personally thought it was delicious, but the porridge was a bit too salty. You can choose not to drink the soup. The soup noodles with duck flavor were very strong, and the side dishes on the platter were also good.

25 Apr 26 - Delicious duck intestines (cleaned thoroughly) were super crispy and Q. Koay teow tng was tasty as always, broth spectacular. It crowded at 11am but we sat along the alley, moved in when it was drizzling.

May 2026: while the name of the stall is Koey Teow “Theng” (Theng being soup), I glad they had the dry noodle option. The Koey Teow was also the thin Ipoh noodle style one and not the wider noodle. Love the thinner noodle!!!!

The kway teow soup was nothing special, even a bit bland, and for the same price (RM6.5), there were many better options; the duck rice (RM7.5) was reasonably priced, but even lighter... suitable for those who prefer lighter flavors 😛

Arrived on Monday 1030am, no need to wait for table, just sit in maybe weekdays, serving around less than 5mins, the soup are clear not thick but full of favour. Portion a bit small.

One of the best duck meat kuey teow soups in Penang! The broth is light but very flavorful, and the duck meat is tender and delicious. The noodles are smooth and the fried shallots add great aroma. Simple, authentic, and very satisfying.

Hygiene problem. The auntie at KTT was picking up dirty tissues on the floor and never washed her hands. She continued to use chopsticks, spoons, and plates to serve customers.
