Overall, Foong's still offers the best quality Hainanese chicken rice ... We were at Foong's as it's got the best rendition in Penang of this dish

Great place to go for hainan and nyonya cuisine, executed with detail. Highly recommended ordering the assam prawns, it’s the dry type and the prawn shells are amazingly tender. All parts edible.

Recently, I visited this restaurant a second time. The set up is cozy. The menu may have less items then others but the food taste is generally good. I love the Stingray Asam Pedas, The Chun Piah (Spring Roll) and the Jiu Hu Cha.

The cardamom water was delicious, the orchid rice had a subtle fragrance, and the taro in the taro duck was tender yet not mushy—so tasty! The food was served quickly, and the dining environment was comfortable!

One of the best Hainan Nonya food. Luckily one of the staff give us a place even though they are fully booked. Must come try their assame fish - a must have. The lady finger was cooked to perfection.
