This Ming Xiang Tai outlet on Penang Road really oozes an old school charm. The shop front itself is already quite instaworthy. We weren’t just curious about the pastries they make but we also wanted to see how the interior decor was like.

I like this traditional Chinese pastry shop, which sells freshly baked egg tarts and a variety of different flavours pastries. Maybe younger ones do not appreciate, but I guess those 40s & above would enjoy their pastries!

Freshly baked egg tarts with a crispy crust and warm egg filling are incredibly delicious! The durian and mango pastries are also good. It's a shame there's no seating; you have to stand and eat in front of the shop.

Love the historic setting of the shop. Egg tart and char siew bao were probably the best I have had while in Malaysia. The pastry was fresh and flaky. Delicious!

Egg tarts that are less sweet and have a higher egg content offer great value for money and are highly recommended.
