My favourite food to eat in Penang is, without doubt, Assam Laksa. I prefer this version of laksa a lot more than the usual laksa with the coconut milk curry.

Penang Road Famous Laksa has a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand recognition since 2023: Penang Road Famous Laksa’s broth is sweet, tangy, spicy, and has a mild fish flavor (thank God!).

Georgetown has plenty of just average Laksa stalls. But if you don’t have the time or means to make the trek out to Ayer Itam or Balik Pulau, then Penang Road is probably your next best option if you are based in central Georgetown.

Standards have dropped. The CKT here is my favourite, first because its halal and second its the best halal version I know. I have been eating here since before the micheline hype and before the Qs.

Seriously, everything is delicious, especially the char kuey teow. I still remember it today. I want to repeat it but I want to go to Penang 🤣 The cendol is also delicious and the portion is very nice.

When visiting Penang, you absolutely must try the famous Ah Sin Laksa. I've heard that this laksa is quite different from the common curry-flavored laksa, supposedly smelling pungent but tasting delicious.

The real deal. Excellently run. Great food. 1. Line moves quickly. Don’t worry if it is a bit long. They take your order when you are in line and get you your food when it is ready. Things are very well organized. 2.

Bought a cendol from the other shop because we didn't know that they sold cendol here as no one gave the menu. One of the workers here didn't allow us to eat despite us ordering food and drink from here as well.

A mention in Michelin guide. The bowl was well presented and the udon-like rice noodle had a good bite to it. It came with mint leaves, minced sardine, pineapple and lemongrass flower.

Every time I come to Penang, I always stop by this restaurant. It's delicious and impressive; the flavors are rich and intense, the seafood is fresh, and the wait time isn't long.

Super disappointed. It is said one of the most famous restaurants in Penang. But the food is not good at all. Also, they use plastic bowl, spoon, and paper plate. The staff also are not friendly. We came far from our hotel by grab.

The laksa was absolutely flavourful and delicious, the broth was the perfect blend of sour, spicy, earthy and slightly sweet. The char kuey teow was equally as delicious but it could have been a little less oily.

I came here for the first time trying the famous CKT, and it really lived up to the name- a great amount of wok hei. It is delicious. Seating can be limited so it’s recommended to come early, or takeaway
